Vanessa Wills provides individualized, expert, and compassionate legal counsel to those facing a divorce or other family law matter involving complex financial or custody issues. Vanessa is a Certified Family Law Specialist in California, a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), and a Super Lawyer®.

Prior to forming Vance & Wills, PC, Vanessa was an associate attorney at Blevans & Blevans, LLP from 2013 to 2020. There, she focused on dissolution and support cases for high-net worth individuals including business owners, executives, professionals, trust beneficiaries, and their spouses.

Vanessa has lectured to the Family Law community on topics such as modification of spousal support, separate property, and premarital agreements. She has been distinguished as an Honor Advocate for her outstanding performance at the AAML Trial Practicum. She completed the National Family Law Trial Institute (Houston), the nation’s leading intensive family law trial advocacy program.

As a fourth-generation attorney, Vanessa was destined to improve the lives of others through the practice of law. She began her legal career at age 16 as a file clerk. After receiving her B.A. in Law & Society from the University of California, Santa Barbara, she was an intellectual property litigation paralegal at Weil Gotshal & Manges, LLP. She then attended University of San Francisco, School of Law, where she participated in a number of advanced advocacy competitions.
